“We started working together when Éclat was three years old to prepare and present him at the stallion show. We got on well straight away. Now we have more than just an owner-rider relationship; a friendship developed. We have two of Éclat’s brothers in the stable. I like having them with me right from the start and really taking on all the training. Recognizing each character, the qualities and faults and doing everything I can to gradually get them to where they can go, of course with the aim of riding at a high level. Her mother Diva produces well and has moulded them a lot. She had personality and was very combative on the show jumping ground. All three have similarities, but each has its own personality. Éclat was more sensitive, Focus is a bit more rebellious and Horizon is a mixture of the two. It is often said that good horses have personality. All three have it and that’s what I like about them. They have that certain something.“
